Victorino Provided Sparks In July

July is over, which means Shane Victorino’s hot month has ended. Let’s take a look at the Flyin’ Hawaiian’s stats over the month:

G – 25
PA – 113
H – 35
R – 20
HR – 7
RBI – 20
AVG – .333
OBP – .381
SLG – .619
OPS – 1.000

It matches up well with his May numbers — .322/.389/.466, except he was much more powerful this month. But look close — in March/April, Vic hit .224 and the Phils went 15-13. In May Vic hit .322 and the Phils went 17-12. In June Vic hit .235 and the Phils went 12-14. And here in July he hit .333 and the Phils went 15-10.

Dare I say how Victorino goes, so do the Phillies?
