While we sigh about the tough way game two played out, we can laud one Phillie hitter for his great play. Carlos Ruiz, written off practically all season for his weak offense, has been a true star this postseason. Check these numbers out:

World Series: 2-for-5, RBI, R, 3 BB, SB
I’ll take those numbers any day from my eight-hole hitter. He was the only hitter consistently giving good at bats last night, and his two leadoff doubles could’ve ignited rallies. When he does this, it’s up to Jimmy Rollins to get him home; right now, one worry is not the guy behind the plate.
