Report: Amaro Talking To Madson, Werth About Deals
According to John Perrotto of Baseball Prospectus, Ruben Amaro Jr. has reached out to Ryan Madson and Jayson Werth to talk about contract extensions.
Of course, this was the topic of discussion earlier, as both are eligible for arbitration. I’ll reiterate — I’d like to see a little more of Werth as the everyday right fielder before locking him down. And while I like Madson, it’ll be difficult coming to terms with the Scott Boras client.
