Though the Dominican Republic couldn’t take the Caribbean Series, finishing with a 2-4 record, a Phillie did make some huge contributions in the process. New catcher Ronny Paulino had a fine series:

Coming with this is news that the Florida Marlins are looking at Chris Coste. Indeed, I thought this would be the case, but don’t expect anything yet — the Phils want to get Paulino in camp and see how he stacks up. Something tells me he will be fine, putting Coste on the trading block before opening night.
