Report: A's Tracking Garciaparra

Reports today indicate the Athletics are in good shape

to sign Nomar Garciaparra. According to these reports, the Phillies aren’t currently looking for the right-handed bench bat unless it comes cheap, and the A’s can offer Garciaparra more playing time.

It’s becoming evident the Phillies will likely head into the 2009 season with the collection of players they’re now fielding in Clearwater.
