Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe reports the Phillies and Red Sox are discussing trade options concerning catcher Lou Marson.
According to Cafardo, the Phils want either Clay Buchholz or Daniel Bard, but the Sox “aren’t going there.”
Buchholz, 24, went 2-9 with a 6.75 ERA last season for the Sox. Bard went 4-1 with a 1.99 ERA for AA Portland.
Thanks to reader David for the hat tip.
