Last night was a pitchers’ battle: Both Johan Santana and Chan Ho Park slung mastery at their oppositions, with Santana coming out victorious mainly because of some erroneous defense by the Phillies. Of course, a couple hits would’ve helped.

Tonight, however, it could be a different story. Jamie Moyer (who surrendered five earned runs against the Mets Saturday) will face Mike Pelfrey (who gave up three earned runs against the Phils Friday). Moyer’s been hit hard by Mets batters, and Saturday it was Daniel Murphy and Ramon Castro doing the damage, as they both homered off the wily left-hander. Pelfrey, meanwhile, was struck by Raul Ibanez for a two-run hit on Friday.

Moyer is gunning for his 250th career victory. Shane Victorino is looking to extend his hitting streak to 16 games.

Your gamenight beer: We need something heavy tonight, if only to curtail the crazy rains that never stop in the Philadelphia region. It’s Wee Heavy, a Scotch Ale from the Belhaven Brewery. This drink has flavors of raisins and yeast – it’s dark, strong and even tangy on the tongue. I’d enjoy a big old turkey and stuffing with this.

Go Phillies!
