Phillies Nation is excited to welcome two new members to their staff as contributors to the site. Nick McIlwain and Casey Boy (a.k.a Casey Foster) from the Preston and Steve show on 93.3 WMMR in Philadelphia will join the PN crew starting soon.

“Here we are, in the middle of a golden era, unlike any other, and we can appreciate winning,” said McIlwain.  “We can appreciate celebrations.  We can expect to compete for a World Series title every year.  And we should never take that for granted because for so long, it was so bad.  I’m excited to write about the team I love and I’m excited to watch the Phillies in 2012.  Of course, I’m ready for the postseason now, but one of the great things about baseball is that it requires patience.  And by being patient, you learn to love more deeply and you enjoy the ride that much more.”

“Casey and I are both thrilled to be writing about the sport we both share a passion for.”

Nick and Casey Boy will be speaking from the fans perspective, as both are raging Philadelphia sports fans who will surely have an opinion on anything/everything.

The guys from P & S will also be part of the new Phillies Nation TV, joining us for various segments to talk about the Fightin’ Phils throughout the season.

As part of the extremely popular morning show, Nick and Casey Boy have had their hand in some seriously amazing ratings for the program. It has been the #1 morning show in Philadelphia for the last 4 ½ years. For 55 of the last 58 months, Preston, Steve, Nick, Casey Boy, Kathy, and Marisa have been #1 among men between 25-54 years old. Quite impressive!

Check out PrestonandSteve.com for everything related to the show, and of course, listen to 93.3 WMMR if you’re in the Philadelphia region.
