The Phillies and Rockies open up a weekend series at Citizens Bank Park. The Rockies have struggled more than the Phillies have this season. It hasn’t helped that Troy Tulowitzki has been out most of the season due to injury.
Jeff Francis has more wins than Cliff Lee, but his ERA is just over two points higher than Lee’s. Francis doesn’t walk too many guys; in 86.1 innings, he only has 18 walks. All the damage comes off the bat, as he’s allowed 110 hits in those innings. That’s 11.5 hits per nine innings. With all the strikes he throws, the Phillies need to come out swinging.
Lee has been red hot lately. In his last four starts, he has a 1.91 ERA. In those 28.1 innings, he struck out 31 and walked just two.
Who else is red hot? John Mayberry. Mayberry is batting .369 with 4 homers and 12 RBI in his last 17 games.
Polar lager pours with a clear, pale-golden hue and it kind of like the Bud of Venezuela. RateBeer and BeerAdvocate give it crappy grades, and you might be hard pressed to find it here in America. The bottle itself is worth the find alone. It’s 5% alcohol, so it’ll get ya tipsy after a few. Hot dogs with a few of these sounds good. –by Pat
