And then there was one. It’s the final game of the regular season, and I’d like to take this space to thank everyone for once again making Phillies Nation the best website for baseball on the planet. Every day thousands and thousands of you come out to cheer, laugh, cry, and chat about your Phillies. We appreciate every one of you.

Cliff Lee will have the honors of trying to give the Phillies their 11th consecutive winning season. Think about that. This is the worst season the Phillies will have had since 2002, but it still could be a winning year.

All around baseball, it’s the final night of the regular season – maybe. So it should be a lot of fun. Remember last year? It looks like we’re headed down that road again. The Rangers and A’s are fighting for the AL West. Miguel Cabrera might win the Triple Crown tonight. The AL East is up for grabs. So much happening.

But don’t forget to stick with the Phillies for one last day. Spring Training is always just around the corner.

Your gameday beer: Stoudt’s Oktoberfest

Why not finish off the regular season with another Oktoberfest beer. Had this one by Stoudts over the weekend and it’s smooth and easy to drink. It doesn’t overpower you like some of the other spicier October brews. It’s got a medium amber color and is pleasing to the palette. Enjoy it with some sausage and peppers and settle in for Game 162. – Pat Gallen
