Offseason

Happy Thanksgiving From Phillies Nation!

Everyone here at Phillies Nation would like to wish our readers, friends, and family, those titles not mutually exclusive, a very Happy Thanksgiving!

2012 was another fantastic year for Phillies Nation – and we could not have done it without everyone involved. As you enjoy your favorite holiday pastime with friends and family, we wanted to share our Phillies-related thanks and invite you to add your own!

Pat Gallen, Editor-in-Chief: I’m thankful for Phillies Nation and all of our incredible readers and fans. I’m also thankful that the Phillies give us something good to talk about every year, no matter if it’s in-season or offseason.

Corey Seidman: I’m thankful the Phillies got a deal done with Cole Hamels. I’m thankful Cliff Lee rebounded in the second half and I’m thankful that the 2013 Phillies will look much different than the 2012 Phillies.

Eric Seidman: I’m thankful the Phillies re-signed Jimmy Rollins to a very reasonable contract and he put together another terrific season.

Jay Floyd: I am thankful for one of the most outstanding broadcast duos in all of major sports, the Phillies radio team of Scott Franzke and Larry Andersen. The pair offers a unique candor that is unmatched by other broadcasters. With the annoyance levels of so many commentary teams throughout sports growing each year, Franzke and “LA” keep things fresh, honest and enjoyable at all times.

Ian Riccaboni: I am thankful to have a platform to engage with everyone about a great franchise. Very thankful for all of our readers, commenters, and friends of the blog who supported us before I contributed and who continue to support us now.

Ryan Dinger: I’m thankful for a Phillies team that was chock full of likeable, easy-to-root-for players, despite a mediocre season. And also for this team’s relevance. If this team had a start like they had this season ten years ago, most fans would have checked out by late May. But Philadelphia stuck through the tough times with them and seems to have rekindled its passion for Phillies baseball. That’s a beautiful thing. I’m also thankful to be writing for such a great blog with so many knowledgeable contributors and readers. It makes for engaging and entertaining discussions.

Kieran Carobine: I am thankful the Phillies resigned the right guys and that they have the kind of GM that doesn’t accept mediocracy.  I am also thankful they always fuel that ‘what if’ conversation.

Amanda Orr: I’m thankful for the Phillies and baseball in general. Life would be weird without them.

Jonathan Nisula: I’m thankful that the Phillies have a GM and owner that care about making the fans happy by winning rather than just putting butts in the seats and making money.
