Cliff Lee vs. Kris Medlen
Time: 7:10 PM, Turner Field

Weather: Chance of rain, 47

A sweep would not be a good way to start off the 2013 season. A win tonight for the Phillies would certainly relieve some early-season stress.
Somewhat surprisingly, the starting problem has been the issue thus far. Unlike Cole Hamels and Roy Halladay, Cliff Lee needs to keep the Braves in the yard, as they have hit 6 home runs in two games.
Kris Medlen has bounced between the bullpen and rotation last season, but he has been extremely successful as a starter. However, Medlen did struggle this spring, posting a 7.23 ERA in 23.2 innings.
QUESTIONS: Will Cliff Lee get run support in 2013? Lee’s record of 6-9 in 2012 does not show how well he pitched. Lee had his ups and downs, but overall he had a great season posting a 3.16 earned run average. The main problem was that the Phillies couldn’t score for him! Hopefully with the additions of Ben Revere and Michael Young and a healthy Chase Utley and Ryan Howard will give Cliff the run support he deserves.
