The Phillies close out their four game set with the Brewers Sunday afternoon, needing a win to earn a series split. The Phillies lost the previous two games after winning the series opener, and now sit one game under .500.

Jonathan Pettibone will be on the mound for the Phils today, making his tenth start of the season. In the first nine, he has allowed three runs or less eight times, including five quality starts. His last time out against Miami he went six strong, allowing two runs and earning the win.

He will be opposed by a familiar face in Kyle Lohse, however in an unfamiliar form. Lohse is just 1-6 this year with an ERA at 4.39, and it seems that his lack of spring training as he waited to be signed by a team has not allowed him to really take off this year. However, he has pitched well against Philadelphia in his career, with a 3-4 record and 3.18 ERA.

Ryan Howard is one guy who has had tremendous success against Lohse. In 26 at bats he is hitting .476 off Lohse with three home runs and 11 RBI. Michael Young (4) and Laynce Nix (2) have also had multiple homers off Lohse. All three of them are in the lineup today. Here is how the rest of the lineup for the Phillies looks:

Lineup: M. Young 3B, Revere CF, Rollins SS, Howard 1B, Brown LF, Frandsen 2B, Nix RF, Quintero C, Pettibone P

Gameday Beer: Smithwicks Irish Red Ale3498868847_cdfdc0e2ed

Smithwicks has been around forever yet it never gets old. This red ale is one of the most common Irish brews and is perfect if you are in that Irish mood and want something lighter than a Guinness and a bit more than a Harp lager. It might not jump out at you, but you know that you are going to get a consistently solid beer, and a lot of times, that is enough.
