Why am I telling you this? Because there’s a decent chance you missed him in a Phillies uniform in 2013. He did not make his Phillies and MLB debut until September 3, and he only appeared in three games. He pitched 4.2 innings, and gave up just one earned run. He struck out six and walked three, but allowed seven hits in those 4.2 innings.
In the end, though, the Phillies released him, along with three others, off the 40-man roster on October 3. He’s still in the organization, but his future with the Phillies in TBD.
Grade: B
I’d really like to give an “incomplete” as a grade for Robles, because it’s tough to judge a guy who only appeared in three games. He pitched just a few more innings than Casper Wells and John McDonald. But in his brief time with the Phillies, he was decent.
