In some what of a surprising move, the Phillies have announced they have avoided arbitration with infielder Kevin Frandsen. Frandsen, 31, hit just .234/.296/.341 in 278 PA after a year where he hit .338/.383/.451 in 210 PA. The move is quite surprisingly considering the presence of both Freddy Galvis and Cesar Hernandez on the club. Frandsen will make $900K in 2014 with performance incentives according to the Phillies.
