According to Ryan Lawrence of the Daily News, Freddy Galvis has actually contracted the MRSA virus, a serious infection.
The Phillies will disinfect the clubhouse following the game.
According to the report, Galvis has been taking antibiotics both orally and through an IV. He is said to be be doing better, but he will start the year on the DL.

Jokes aside, the Phillies continue to fall apart as now Freddy Galvis has been hospitalized with a staph infection and will likely begin the season on the disabled list. This comes less a day after we find out that Darin Ruf has a strained oblique and is headed for an MRI, and likely the DL.
There goes two of the Phillies best bench bat option down in a span of about 24 hours. Galvis was garnering high praise from manager Ryne Sanberg for his play this spring and was in line to get plenty of at-bats scattered across multiple positions. That will now have to wait as he’s been stricken by what can be a very serious illness.
Last season, Galvis hit .234 with six homers, but gave the Phillies superior glove work and played basically every position on the diamond. That’s a big blow.
