Phillies Activate Hamels, Rosenberg Demoted

The Phillies made it official: LHP Cole Hamels has been activated from the 15-day DL. Hamels, 30, was battling bicep tendonitis and was behind in his Spring Training throwing program. Hamels is on track to return within the expected 2-3 week, post-Opening Day time line provided by the Phillies.

RHP B.J. Rosenberg will be sent down to Lehigh Valley. Rosenberg, 28, was 1-0 with a 7.11 ERA. Rosenberg started the year with five scoreless appearances before allowing three homers in three batters on April 14, 2014 against Atlanta.
