Last night, the Phillies fell to the Dodgers, 2-0. Some main points:
-The Phillies were 0 for 9 with runners in scoring position. They had Dodgers starter Clayton Kershaw in some deep counts, although he did strike out nine over six innings.
-Kershaw is a beast. Man, he’s good. So is Yasiel Puig, as much of a space cadet as he is.
-Roberto Hernandez stuck around for 6 1/3 and kept the Phillies in the game while they failed miserably to capitalize in run-scoring situations once again.
-Antonio Bastardo looked solid through two innings in the eighth and ninth.
-Chase Utley doubled for the 20th time this season. He’s on pace for 72!
