Reports: Kendrick to Rockies on One Year Deal

According to multiple media reports, Kyle Kendrick is heading to the Colorado Rockies. The deal, according to Yahoo! Sports Jeff Passan, is for one year, $5.5 million.

Seems like a very odd fit for Kendrick, but perhaps there really wasn’t much of a market for him. For his career at Coors Field, Kendrick has a 5.26 ERA in seven games, allowing five home runs.

He spent the last eight years with the Phillies, winning 74 games, accumulating a 4.42 ERA. He allowed a career high 102 earned runs last season over a career high 199 innings. Kendrick will certainly give you some innings, the quality of those in Colorado may vary.
