A Note for Tonight:
Last night, the Phillies took the early lead before giving up a 3-run home run to Starling Marte at the top of the 3rd inning. The final score was left at 4-3, Grady Sizemore racked an RBI and Odubel Herrera hit his first MLB home run in the bottom of the 9th.
Sean O’Sullivan will get his third start of the season after posting a 4.91 ERA through his first two. With Cody Asche sent down to Lehigh to learn the outfield, Cesar Hernandez will get the start at thirdbase for the Phillies tonight before the expected Maikel Franco is called up sometime this week.
The Phillies will be up against a familiar face in A.J. Burnett, who has put up a 1.66 ERA for the season so far, and will look to improve that against a wounded Phillies offense.
First pitch at 7:05 EST.
Lineup:
Revere LF, Galvis SS, Utley 2B, Howard 1B, Francoeur RF, Hernandez 3B, Herrera CF, Ruiz C, O’Sullivan RHP
