A Note for Tonight:
After a thriller last night at the Bank that included a 2-run home run by Maikel Franco to tie the game, and a walk-off by Darin Ruf, the Phillies look to get back to improving their home record (13-13) against Mike Leake, who has struggled this year with a 2-4 W-L record, and a 4.66 ERA.
Cole Hamels gets back on the saddle tonight to try and get back into the win column. In his last start he went 8.0 innings and gave up 2 home runs to get the loss on May 29th against the Colorado Rockies. Hamels has gone 7.0+ innings in each of his last five starts, going 4-1 with a 3.27 ERA.
Chase Utley has found himself above .200 in batting average for the first time this year, and Cody Asche has come back to the Majors with a 4-game hit streak, which stretches to a 6-game hit streak going back to May 10th.
Odubel Herrera finds himself back at the top of the order as Ryne Sandberg shakes things up a little bit for an interesting lineup on the evening.
Phillies look to continue the success tonight, first pitch at 7:05 EST.
