A Note for Today:
Prospect lefty, Adam Morgan, will get the start for the Phillies today in place of Jerome Williams. Morgan is 0-6 with a 4.74 ERA in Triple-A Lehigh Valley, but has been solid in his last 3 starts, posting a 2.51 ERA and giving up only 4 earned runs and including one shutout.
The Phillies offense will have it’s work cut out for them against a tough Michael Wacha, who has been struggling a bit in his last 3 starts, but still stands with a 2.48 ERA.
Cesar Hernandez will play for Chase Utley today, and Cameron Rupp gets the start behind the plate. Ryan Howard remains the only long-term contract player on the field for the day.
First pitch at 1:35 EST.
