*UPDATE: Jim Salisbury has reported that the Toronto Blue Jays are now interested in Revere and talks regarding a deal are “heating up.”
With the 4 p.m. trade deadline just a few short hours away, the Phillies may not be done making moves after sending left-hander Cole Hamels to the Texas Rangers in a blockbuster deal.
Fox Sports’ Ken Rosenthal reported yesterday that an unidentified American League team was interested in Ben Revere. Today, the team has been identified as the Baltimore Orioles.
While the Orioles are reportedly close to signing a deal for Brewers outfielder Gerardo Parra, Rosenthal’s previous tweet indicates that Baltimore is willing to sign both outfielders.
Phillies beat writer Todd Zolecki has also reported that the Phills and Orioles are still discussing a deal for Revere.
