Amaro had enjoyed a successful two months where he managed to trade Cole Hamels, Jake Diekman, Jonathan Papelbon, Ben Revere, and Chase Utley for a group of talented prospects that helped propel a once depleted farm system to the league’s seventh best. One thing is certain: whoever replaces Amaro will have a strong foundation to work with.
A press conference will be held at 3 p.m. on Comcast SportsNet.
