Notes for today:

In eight big league starts last season, the 25-year-old Eickhoff posted a 3-3 record with a 2.65 ERA.  In three starts against the Mets, Eickhoff had a 1-2 record along with a 2.70 ERA.  He was part of the return last summer from Texas in the trade for Cole Hamels.

Phillies third baseman Maikel Franco will miss a start after being hit in the elbow by a pitch on Thursday.  Franco is 3-for-10 (.300 avg) on the young season.

Catcher Cameron Rupp is 4-for-14 (.286 avg) with no extra-base hits in five career games at Citi Field.  The 27-year-old is 1-for-1 with a homer against deGrom.

Switch-hitting shortstop Freddy Galvis is 5-for-8 (.625 avg) when facing deGrom.  Galvis is a .222 hitter in 14 games at Citi Field.

The 27-year-old deGrom has a 1.99 ERA in 15 career starts at Citi Field.  In three career outings against the Phils, deGrom sports a 4.41 ERA.

Mets cleanup hitter Lucas Duda batted .326 with six home runs and 12 RBI in 11 games against the Phillies last season.

New York center fielder Yoenis Cespedes has a .282 batting average with five homers and 10 RBI in nine career games against the Phillies.
