With news today that corner infielder Damek Tomscha had been promoted from Class A Lakewood to Class A Advanced Clearwater, a corresponding move was anticipated.  In a surprise maneuver, outfielder Andrew Pullin has been removed from the Threshers’ roster and is listed as “voluntarily retired” on his MiLB.com page.

Pullin, who was the Phillies’ 5th round draft choice as a high schooler in 2012, had recently been a part of the organization’s brand new Futures Series in Reading and Philadelphia last week.

The 22-year-old outfielder posted a .258 batting average with a league-leading 14 homers and 73 RBI in 123 games for the Threshers last season.

Outfielder Samuel Hiciano was moved from extended spring training to Lakewood to fill the void left by Tomscha.
