Neshek has been one of the most effective relief pitchers in the bigs over the last five seasons as he compiled a 2.75 ERA over that span. He made his first and only All Star appearance as a member of the St. Louis Cardinals in 2014 – appearing in 71 games while posting an ERA of 1.87. Over the last two seasons, Neshek made his home in Houston. During his time in Houston, Neshek carried a 3.36 ERA in 126 total games. He tossed 101.2 innings and allowed just 82 hits.
Neshek has a new home now and will be a backbone piece at the end of Pete Mackanin‘s bullpen. The right-hander’s submarine style of pitching has contributed to career 2.93 ERA over ten years.
