After a rough start, allowing a run on four walks and three hits in the first two innings, Ben Lively gutted through 6.1 innings while giving up just two runs. Curtis Granderson and Travis d’Arnaud tagged the rookie for RBI singles in the first and fourth innings, respectively.
Ty Kelly got the Phils on the board in the fifth with an RBI single that scored Andrew Knapp, who reached on a “triple.” What looked to be a routine fly ball to center field, Granderson lost the ball in the sky, which enabled Knapp to get to third.
