Phillies alumni nonagenarian club
Frank Lucchesi, Phillies manager for parts of three seasons 1970-72, was at the helm as the club closed out Connie Mack Stadium and for the first game at Veteran’s Stadium.
At the close of the first month of the new year, the Phillies have 14 alumni in their Nonagenarian Club (90-99 years old). God willing, five more will be added this year.

OF Wally Westlake. Born 11/8/1920. Played for Phillies in ’56 (five games, hitless in four at-bats), his final season of 10-year career. Oldest living former National League player and fourth-oldest Major Leaguer.
