Larry Shenk’s Phillies Minor League Report: 4/28/19

“The Baron” is the former Philadelphia Phillies head of community relations, a role in which he served the organization for more than four decades. Larry is also a 2018 inductee to the Delaware Sports Museum and Hall of Fame.

**Threshers (10–13) trailed, 3–0, after two innings but came back for a 6–3, 10-inning win over the Tarpons in Tampa thanks to brilliant work by the bullpen. ND: Andrew Brown

Grant Dyer, Connor Brogdon, Seth McGrath, Austin Ross combined for 7 hitless, scoreless innings, 2 walks, 7 strikeouts; at one point they retired 17 consecutive batters . . . 3B Nick Maton, 2–4, walk, run, 2 RBI, stolen base (#5). 2B Jose Gomez, 2–4, walk, 2 RBI; 8-game hitting streak (.429). C Edgar Cabral, 2–3, 2 walks, run, game-winning RBI . . . Julian Garcia (1–2), 1 this afternoon in Tampa.
