“The Baron” is the former Philadelphia Phillies head of community relations, a role in which he served the organization for more than four decades. Larry is also a 2018 inductee to the Delaware Sports Museum and Hall of Fame.

Players of the Week (May 6–12)
Player — INF Nick Maton, Clearwater… The 22-year-old posted a .550/.609/.650 slash line, going 11-for-20 with two doubles, three RBI, three runs and three walks in five games. He collected multiple hits in each of his five games, raising his season batting average from .232 to .294. He also owns a .455 on-base percentage in eight games this month. Maton, an Illinois native, was selected by the Phillies in the seventh round of the June 2017 draft.
Pitcher — RHP Julian Garcia, Clearwater… Garcia, 24, earned a win after tossing 6.0 scoreless innings on May 10 at Dunedin. In that outing, he struck out seven batters while allowing no walks. He lowered his season ERA to 2.97 over six starts. Additionally, he is averaging 10.68 SO/9.0 IP (36 SO, 30.1 IP) this year. A Colorado native, the right-hander was selected by the Phillies in the 10th round of the June 2016 draft.

Six different players had multi-hits and 6 different drove in runs . . . SS Nick Maton, 3–5, run, double, RBI; sixth straight multi-hit game; hitting .517 since May 4. 3B Alec Bohm, 2–5, run, 2 RBI, HR (2, 5 overall) into LF bullpens. Others with 2 hits: CF Simon Muzziotti, 1B Madison Stokes, C Edgar Cabral, 2B Dan Brito . . . WP: Damon Jones (1–2), 6–4–1–0–1–9, wild pitch, pick off at 1st base; leads FSL with 0.76 ERA and 52 strikeouts (35.1 innings). SV: Grant Dyer (#1).
