“The Baron” is the former Philadelphia Phillies head of community relations, a role in which he served the organization for more than four decades. Larry is also a 2018 inductee to the Delaware Sports Museum and Hall of Fame.

Lehigh Valley, International League North Division

**IronPigs (25–20) broke a 5–5 tie on 1B Matt McBride’s 2-run HR in the sixth inning, added an insurance run in the seventh in handing Buffalo an 8–5 loss before a sellout crowd of 10,100; second straight sellout. Trail first-place SWB by .5 . . . McBride has hit 5 homers and driven in 15 runs in a 6-game hitting streak; hitting .342 in last 10 games. C Deivy Grullon, 3–4, 2 runs,4 RBI, 2 doubles (11), HR (8); hitting .359 which is third in IL. RF Ali Castillo, 3–4, run, RBI, double. DH Lane Adams, 1–4, run, RBI, HR (10) . . . ND: Ranger Suarez, making his first start since April 26, 3.2–6–5–5–2–3, HR, 2 hit batters. WP: Austin Davis (2–0). SV: Yacksel Rios (5) . . . Nick Pivetta (4–1), scheduled for 6:35 tonight vs. Buffalo.

Reading, Eastern League Eastern Division

**Fightin Phils (25–18) pushed across a run in the top of the ninth for a 2–1 win over the Senators in Harrisburg. Reading is third, 1.5 games out of first place . . . 1B Darick Hall was hit by a pitch to start the ninth. Two outs later, C Austin Bossart’s looping single to RF scored Hall who was running on the pitch. LF Josh Stephen, 2–4, lone player with multiple hits. CF Mickey Moniak, 1–4, fifth-inning RBI double (11); extended hitting streak to 10 games (.381), raising his average 40 points; leads EL with 5 triples . . . ND: Ramon Rosso, 7–3–1–1–1–4, HR; 7-inning outing is Reading’s longest this season; had first pro hit and run. WP: Jakob Hernandez (3–0). SV: Addison Russ (6) . . . 4:30 doubleheader (7-inning games) today in Harrisburg. Adonis Medina (1–2) will start the first game. TBD for second game.

Clearwater, Florida State League North Division

**Threshers (25–24) posted a 4–2 win over the Hammerheads in Jupiter, their third straight win. Clearwater won the game by scoring three times with two out in the sixth. . . . RF Danny Mayer, 2–3, run, walk, 2 RBI, HR (3). RF Jhailyn Ortiz, 1–3, walk, run, HR (6), 2 RBI. CF Jake Scheiner, 2–4, double, stolen base. 1B Matt Kroon, 2–4, double, run . . . WP: Damon Jones (2–3), 5.2–5–1–0–2–10, hit batter; career-high in strikeouts; leads FSL with 69 strikeouts (45.2 IP); staff leads league with 470 strikeotuts. SV: Tyler Ross (2) . . . Colton Eastman (1–2) in 1 p.m. series finale today.

All-Stars
LHR Jonathan Hennigan, LHS Damon Jones, SS Nick Maton, CF Simon Muzzitio, OF Mat Vierling have been named to the North squad for the FSL All-Star game, June 15, in Jupiter.

**BlueClaws (16–32) defeated visiting Kannapolis, 3–2, on a walk-off passed ball in the 10th inning. Fourth straight one-run win at home. Last two have been walk-offs . . . 3B Jake Holmes began the 10th as the courtesy runner at second base, moved to third on a wild pitch and scored on the passed ball one out later. . . 1B Luke Miller, 2–4, RBI, stolen base. C Rafael Marchan, 2–4, walk . . . ND: Kyle Glogoski, a 20-year-old RHP from New Zealand, 5–2–0–0–0–11; career-high in strikeouts; retired the first 12 batters; lowered ERA to 0.55. WP: Ismael Cabrera (1–0), just activated pre-game . . . Dominic Pipkin (2–1), 1 this afternoon vs. Kannapolis.
