“The Baron” is the former Philadelphia Phillies head of community relations, a role in which he served the organization for more than four decades. Larry is also a 2018 inductee to the Delaware Sports Museum and Hall of Fame.

Lehigh Valley, International League North Division

**IronPigs (27–22) split a doubleheader (7-inning games) vs. the Red Sox in Pawtucket . . . Series ends at 11 this morning, Ranger Suarez (2–1) . . . In Scranton for the weekend. The second-place Pigs trail first-place SWB by 1.5 games.

Game #1: 7–3 loss as the Red Sox scored four in the fourth and three in the sixth . . . ND: Cole Irvin, 3–1–0–0–0–1, lifted after 10 batters, 34 pitches (25 strikes); multiple reports claim his brief outing was planned in case the Phillies need him . . . LP: Luke Leftwich (0–1), 2.1–2–5–4–3–2, grand slam HR, wild pitch, hit batter . . . Kyle Dohy, .2–0–3–0–3–0 . . . C Rob Brantly, 2–3, run . . . LF Damek Tomscha, 1–2, walk, run, HR (5), 2 RBI.

Game #2: 3–1 win . . . LF Adam Haseley made his AAA debut, 3–4, run, 2 doubles, 2 RBI; doubled in a run in the first inning and scored; doubled in a run in the second inning; singled in his third at-bat; a left-handed hitter, all three hits came of lefties . . . SS Andrew Romine, 2–4, RBI, stolen base . . . DH Lane Adams, 1–4, 2 runs, double . . . LV held the Red Sox to four hits. ND Tyler Viza, 4–2–1–1–3–2 . . . WP: Tom Windle (3–0), 1–1–0–0–0–1 . . . SV: Austin Davis (2), 1.1–1–0–0–1–2.

Reading, Eastern League Eastern Division

**Fightin Phils (28–20) were blanked by the Erie Sea Wolves, 3–0; fourth time they’ve been shut out . . . Mauricio Llovera (2–1), 6:45 tonight vs. Erie . . . Third-place Fightins are 1.5 games out of first place.

Pitching: LP: Bailey Falter (4–3), 6–6–3–3–0–4, HR . . . Followed by Jeff Singer, 2–1–0–0–1–3 and Addison Russ, 1–0–0–0–0–1.

Hitting: RH Alex Faedo, one of Detroit’s elite pitchers on the Erie staff, held the Fightins to two hits; walked two and struck out a career-high 12 . . . LF Josh Stephens had the first hit, a two-out double in the fifth inning. 3B Jose Gomez singled to start the sixth.

Clearwater, Florida State League North Division

**Threshers (26–25) scored a run in the ninth for a 3–2 win over the Stone Crabs in Charlotte; seventh win in last 9 games . . . Rubber game of the series is 6:30 tonight, Ethan Evanko

(3–3) . . . Weekend series at home vs. the first-place Dunedin Blue Jays starts on Friday night. Clearwater is in third place, 4.5 games out of first in the FSL’s first half.

Pitching: ND: Andrew Brown, 5–3–1–1–2–4, hit batter. Kyle Arjona (BS, 1), 2–3–1–1–0–2, wild pitch. WP: Keylan Kilgore (1–0), 2–1–0–0–1–2.

Hitting: RF Danny Mayer’s two-out double scored C Colby Fitch with the winning run. Fitch singled to set up the dramatic ending, one of three hits. He drove in the first run with a sacrifice fly and the second with another single . . . Mayer also had a single and a walk . . . 3B Alec Bohm, 1–4, extending his hitting streak to nine games.

**BlueClaws (17–33) were not scheduled as it was a travel day to Greensboro, NC. Four-game series begins at 7 tonight, Manny Silva (0–1).

**New York-Penn League (Williamsport Crosscutters) season opens June 14.
