“The Baron” is the former Philadelphia Phillies head of community relations, a role in which he served the organization for more than four decades. Larry is also a 2018 inductee to the Delaware Sports Museum and Hall of Fame.

**IronPigs (29-30) slipped under .500 for the first time since opening day with a 9-2 loss at Buffalo . . . Fifth loss in last six games . . . Weekend series against the Bisons ends at 1:05 this afternoon, Cole Irvin (2-0).

**Threshers (34-28) defeated host Daytona, 3-2, despite being out-hit, 11-4 . . . Third straight win . . . Series finale, 5:35 this evening, Alejandro Requena (4-3) . . . Trail first-place Dunedin by 4.5 games with 5 games left in the first half.

Pitching: WP-Colton Eastman (3-2, 4-4 overall), 5.2-7-2-1-0-8, HR, balk; lowered ERA to 2.27 . . . Kyle Arjona, 2.1-2-0-0-0-1 . . . SV: Grant Dyer (3), 1-1-0-0-0-1, hit batter; struck out the last batter with runners on first and second . . . 622 strike outs by the staff lead the FSL.

Hitting: All three runs came in the sixth and were unearned, two singles, two errors, walk, sacrifice fly . . . LF Simon Muzziotti, 2-4, walk, run . . . 3B Alec Bohm, 1-5, run.

Hitting: Held to five singles by two Greensboro pitchers in being shut out for the sixth time . . . SS Jonathan Guzman, 3-4; third straight multi-hit games; 19-year-old is hitting .352 in last 10 games, boosting average to .270; included are five multi hit games and five stolen bases; leads organization with 19 steals.

Transaction: C Abrahan Gutierrez activated from injured list.
