Lehigh Valley, International League North Division

**IronPigs (35–41) were swept in a 2-game series by the Rochester Red Wings, 8–7. The Pigs tied the game with 5 runs in B 7, 6–6. Red Wings scored 2 in T9, LV countered with 1 . . . Scranton/Wilkes-Barre comes to town, 7:05 tonight.

Pitching: Five pitchers combined to give up 15 hits and strike out 15 . . . Jose Taveras, 2–2–2–2–1–2, hit batter . . . Tom Windle, 1–3–2–2–2–3, balk . . . Luke Leftwich, 2–4–1–1–1–1, HR . . . Austin Davis, 2–3–1–1–0–4 . . . LP: Kyle Dohy (1–4), 2–3–2–1–0–5, 3 wild pitches.

All-Stars: C Deivi Grullon and LHR Austin Davis have been selected to play in the Triple-A All-Star Game on July 10 in El Paso. The game will pit the International League vs. the Pacific Coast League.

Reading, Eastern League Eastern Division [39–28, 2nd place, 1st half]

**Fightin Phils (5–5) scored 2 in the 4th and 4 in the 8th in defeating the Portland Sea Dogs, 6–1, before 6,410 at FirstEnergy Stadium . . . Series continues at 7:10 tonight.

Pitching: Four different pitchers gave up the 1 run on 10 hits, 0 walks while striking out 10 . . . WP: JoJo Romero (2–3, 4–5 overall), 5–5–1–0–0–5 . . . Jonathan Hennigan, 2–3–0–0–0–0 . . . Jakob Hernandez, 1–2–0–0–0–3 . . . Addison Russ, 1–0–0–0–0–2.

Hitting: 3B Alec Bohm, 2–3, walk, 2 runs, 2-run HR in B4; defensively, a throwing error, started two 5–4–3 double plays and made 4 fine defensive players. Playing at 3 levels this season: 68 games, .331, 20 doubles, 9 homers, 42 RBI . . . Top 3 in Reading’s batting order are #1 selections, CF Adam Haseley (2017), Bohm (2018), RF Mickey Moniak (2016). A fourth, got in the game, LF Cornelius Randolph (2015), 1–1, 2 RBI.

Clearwater, Florida State League North Division [36–30, 2nd place, 1st half]

**Threshers (7–3) edged the Flying Tigers in Lakeland, 2–1, in 11 innings after losing, 2–1, on a 9th-inning walk-off the night before. Win gave Threshers a 2–1 series win . . . 6-game road trip continues at 6:30 tonight in St. Lucie in battle of second-half division leaders.

Pitching: Strong work on the mound came from three hurlers . . . Starter Julian Garcia, 7–5–0–0–1–8 . . . Kyle Arjona, 2–2–0–0–0–1 . . . WP: Austin Ross (4–0), 2–1–1–0–0–1, hit batter.

Hitting: 1B Luke Miller 2–4, walk, double, including a 2-out, 2-run single in T11 . . . 2B Dalton Guthrie, 2–5, 5th multi-hit game in the last week.

Lakewood, South Atlantic League North Division [29–41, 1st half]

**BlueClaws (2–6) lost their 4th straight game, this one 9–8 to visiting Greensboro. The Grasshoppers took a commanding lead with 6 runs in T6 and then hung on as the Claws rallied with 5 in B9. Game ended on a strikeout with the tying run on second base . . . Game two is 7:05 tonight.

Pitching: Starter Kevin Gowdy turned in his best outing, 5–4–1–0–2–3 . . . LP: James McArthur (0–5), charged with the big, 6-run inning.

Hitting: RF Carlos De La Cuz, 2–5, run, 3 RBI . . . DH Seth Lancaster, 3–5, RBI; hitting .438 in his 4 games with Claws . . . SS-2B Jonathan Guzman, 2–5, 2 runs, double, stolen base (23) . . . LF Yerwin Trejo, 2–5, run, RBI, double, 2 stolen bases (14).

**Crosscutters (2–11) losing streak reached 9 games, 1–0, in Auburn . . . 6-game road trip continues at 7:05 tonight in West Virginia.

Pitching: Carlos Francisco started and pitched well, 4–2–0–0–1–0 . . . Third pitcher was charged with the loss, Tom Sutera (0–2), 3–5–1–0–0–4; unearned run came on a throwing error by 1B D.J. Stewart with 2 out.

Hitting: LF Christian Valerio, 2–3 . . . Four players chipped in with a hit each . . . RF Corbin Williams stole his 7th base.

Gulf Coast League (Phillies have 2 teams, both in the North Division)

**West (2–2) dropped a 7–2 decision to the Blue Jays at Carpenter Complex. Visitors last 4 innings: 2–2–2–1 . . . Spencer Howard made a rehab assignment starts, 3–1–0–0–1–5; 24 pitches, 20 strikes; off to a 1–1 start in 4 starts for Clearwater when he went on the IL with a sore shoulder, May 5 . . . Five pitched followed with LH Austin Crowson getting the loss in his pro debut, .2–3–2–1–0–1 . . . LF Juan Smith, 2–3, run, double, HR (#1), RBI. DH Andrick Nava, 2–4, run . . . Not scheduled today.

**East (1–3) were shut out by the Tigers West in Lakeland on 5 hits. Second straight scoreless game . . . RH Victor Vargas started, 3–2–0–0–1–3.
