“The Baron” is the former Philadelphia Phillies head of community relations, a role in which he served the organization for more than four decades. Larry is also a 2018 inductee to the Delaware Sports Museum and Hall of Fame.
In addition to the Phillies alumni and history work which Larry shares with readers here at Phillies Nation, his “Minor League Report” pieces now also run with us all during the season as well.

**Fightin Phils (8–5) won in dramatic fashion on C Austin Bossart’s 2-out, 2-strike, 2-run walk-off homer in B9. Final: 3–2, completing a 4-game sweep of the Portland Sea Dogs before 6,917 fans at FirstEnergy Stadium . . . New Hampshire begins a 4-game series in Reading at 7:10 tonight.
Pitching: No decision for starter Bailey Falter, 7–4–2–2–1–8, HR; 93 pitches, 71 strikes . . . WP: Jonathan Hennigan (2–1), 2–1–0–0–2–3.
Hitting: LF Luke Williams worked a 2-out walk and stole second (16), setting the stage for Bossart’s 9th-inning heroics. The pair produced Reading’s first run on a Williams double and Bossart RBI single in B5 . . . 3B Alec Bohm, 1–4, double (2, 21 overall.)

**Threshers (10–3) completed a thrilling comeback with 2 home runs in their final at-bat (T 9) that produced a 5–3 win over the Mets in St. Lucie before 352 fans. The dramatic victory completed a 3-game sweep, ended a 5–1 road trip and finished June with an 18–7 record . . . Threshers return to Spectrum Field at 7 tonight to take on the Fort Myers Miracle.

Pitching: Starter Dominic Pipkin (3–2) was the loser, 1.2–3–6–6–3–1, hit batter.
Hitting: Claws were held to 3 singles and a home run by 3B Seth Lancaster (#1).

**Crosscutters (3–13) lost in painful fashion when the West Virginia Black Bears scored 3 in B9 for a 3–2 walk-off win. An infield single drove in the winning run. It was WV’s second straight WO win over the Cutters . . . Back home tonight at 7:05 vs. Mahoning Valley.
Pitching: The Cutters went into the 9th with a 3-hit, 2–0 shutout thanks to the combined pitching of Rafael Carvajal, Jake Kinney and Luis Ramirez; retired 16 in a row at one point . . . LP: Anton Kuznetsov (1–1), allowed the 3 runs (2 earned) on 5 hits. He started the season with 4 scoreless innings in 3 appearances.
Hitting: Offense produced a single, 2 doubles and 1 stolen base. Cutters lead the NYP with 36 doubles and 33 steals.
