“The Baron” is the former Philadelphia Phillies head of community relations, a role in which he served the organization for more than four decades. Larry is also a 2018 inductee to the Delaware Sports Museum and Hall of Fame.

In addition to the Phillies alumni and history work which Larry shares with readers here at Phillies Nation, his “Minor League Report” pieces now also run with us all during the season as well.

Lehigh Valley, International League North Division

**IronPigs (42–42) won second straight walk-off game with 2 runs in B11, 3–2, vs. the Pawtucket Red Sox. LF Shane Robinson won the game with a sacrifice fly . . . Third straight win got the Pigs back to .500; 7–3 in last 10 games . . . Game 3 of the series, 6:30 tonight.

Pitching: No decision for starter Ramon Rosso, 5.1–2–1–1–6–4 . . . Tyler Gilbert, 1.2–1–0–0–0–1 . . . Edubray Ramos, 2–1–0–0–0–2 . . . WP: Kyle Dohy (3–4), 2–1–1–0–1–2.

Hitting: Pigs were 2–21 with RISP and set a club record by leaving 18 runners on base . . . RF Nick Williams, 3–6, run and RBI double in B11 that tied the game after the Red Sox took a lead in the top of the inning; scored winning run on Robinson’s SF . . . CF Adam Haseley, 2–5, run, walk, hit-by-pitch . . . 2B Phil Gosselin, 2–5, walk . . . C Matt McBride, 2–4.

New Record: Williams extended his AAA hitting streak to 24 games, dating back to 2017 to break Scott Kingery’s club record set in 2017 . . . Nick has hit in all 19 AAA games this season.

Reading, Eastern League Eastern Division [39–28, 2nd place, 1st half]

**Fightin Phils (12–7) split a doubleheader (7-inning games) against the Flying Squirrels in Richmond . . . 8–2 in last 10 games . . . Eastern Division leaders, 2 games ahead of Portland . . . Next game: 6:05 tonight.

Game #1: 3–2 loss . . . Starter David Parkinson tagged with the loss (6–5), 4–4–3–3–2–7; all runs came in B2 . . . Offense held to 3 hits . . . 3B Alec Bohm, 2–3, run, double, RBI.

Game #2: 3–0 win, scoring all runs in T6 with 2 out . . . Fightins had 6 singles . . . 2B Luke Williams, 1–3, run, 2 RBI, stolen base (17); SS Arquimedes Gamboa, 1–2, RBI, stolen base (16) . . . Three-hit shutout from Damon Jones, 4–2–0–0–2–6; WP: Grant Dyer (1–0), 2–1–0–0–0–2; SV: Addison Russ (12), 1–0–0–0–0–2.

All-Star Note: Mickey Moniak is scratched from next week’s game since he is on the Injured List with a hamstring issue . . . Teammate Grenny Cumana is Moniak’s replacement.

Clearwater, Florida State League North Division [36–30, 2nd place, 1st half]

**Threshers (12–6) rode the long ball and no-hit bullpen outing to a 5–4 win over the Tarpons in Tampa . . . Victory extends Clearwater’s road winning streak to 6 games; 9–2 on the road this half . . . Game 3 of the 4-game series, 6:30 tonight.

Pitching: No decision for starter Kyle Glogoski, 5–4–4–2–1–4 . . . WP: Oscar Marcelino (2–0), 2–0–0–0–0–2 . . . SV: Zach Warren (5), 2–0–0–0–0–3.

Hitting: Three homers among 8 hits: RF Danny Mayer (7), 1 on in T4 (off a pitcher named Junk), C Rodolfo Duran (3), solo in T6, 1B Madison Stokes, (9), solo in T8 . . . Mayer, Duran and 3B Luke Miller, 2 hits each.

Lakewood, South Atlantic League North Division [29–41, 1st half]

**BlueClaws (6–9) and Hoppers were suspended by rain in Greensboro. Hoppers lead, 5–2, after 2 innings. Will be completed tonight before regularly-scheduled game . . . 4-game series ends Sunday.

Williamsport, New York-Penn League Pinckney Division

**Crosscutters (4–17) lost, 6–2, to the visiting West Virginia Black Bears in a game that included a 2:07 rain delay . . . Fourth straight loss; 2–10 at home . . . Series wraps up with 7:05 game tonight.

Pitching: No decision for starter Luis Ramirez, 4–2–0–0–0–5 . . . LP: Rafael Carvajal (0–2), allowed 4 runs in T6.

Hitting: Seven different players had 1 hit each . . . LF Hunter Hearn, 1–2, run, HR (pro 1st), 2 RBI; threw a runner out at home plate for 2nd straight game.

Gulf Coast League (Phillies have 2 teams, both in the North Division)

**West (8–2) hung on for a 5–3 win in Dunedin as the Blue Jays scored 3 in B9 . . . Sixth straight win to take a 2.5-game lead in the division . . . SS Sal Gozzo, 2–5, 2 RBI; C Freddy Francisco, 2–4, both doubles, 2 runs . . . Six of 7 pitchers had scoreless outings. Starter Luis Pacheco, 3–3–0–0–3–4; WP: Dalvin Rosario (2–0); SV: Josh Hendrickson, 2 pitches to get the last out . . . Not scheduled today.

**East (4–4) coasted to a 10–4 win over the Tigers West at Carpenter Complex . . . DH Curtis Mead, 3–3, walk, double, triple, 2 run, 3 RBI; 1B Vito Friscia, 2–4, walk, 3 runs, 2 RBI, double . . . Phils used 7 pitchers. WP: Hunter Milam (1–0), gave up 2 runs in 2 innings but was the winner . . . 10 o’clock game this morning vs. Yankees East in Tampa.

Note: Vito Friscia was the Phillies 40th and last selection in this June’ draft, 1,200th player overall. Played college ball at Hofstra.
