When Philadelphia Phillies single-game tickets go on sale Feb. 12, you can guarantee seats for the May 29 matchup against the Washington Nationals will be one of the hardest to secure.
The Phillies will retire the late Roy Halladay’s No. 34 on the 10-year anniversary of his perfect game in a pregame ceremony. The team also plans to reveal a six-foot-tall No. 34 statue in the Third Base Plaza.
All fans in attendance will get a chance to take home a commemorative version of the new statue:
The statue resembles the ones already on display in the Left Field Plaza that honor the six other players whose numbers are retired by the team.
Prices for the game already rival the prices for the home opener against the Milwaukee Brewers, according to Phillies Nation ticketing partner Ticket IQ’s website. If you plan on attending the first Phillies number retirement ceremony since 2001, snagging tickets when they first go on sale is highly recommended.
