Per usual, the Philadelphia Phillies have invited many of their top prospects to join them in Major League camp for the first part of Spring Training. These prospects have had big impacts on games so far in Grapefruit League action.

With No. 1 overall prospect Spencer Howard expected to make his Spring Training debut Tuesday, here’s a look at how some of the other top prospects have performed in the Grapefruit League.

Alec Bohm

The top offensive prospect in the system is hitting .429 (9-21) in 12 games. All of Bohm’s hits have been singles. He’s struck out twice, but is yet to walk as well. He does have three RBIs. While questions about his defense at third base persist, he did make a fine bare-handed play to end Monday’s win over the Yankees.

Rafael Marchan

The young catcher has impressed the coaching staff with his play both at the plate and behind it in the little action he’s gotten this Spring. He’s 3-6 at the plate and has added a stolen base as well. He also threw out a runner tying to swipe second last week on a J.T. Realmuto-like throw.

Mickey Moniak

The former first overall pick has caught some criticism for his performance the last couple of years, but he’s had a solid spring to start 2020. Moniak is 5-14 in Grapefruit League games with two RBIs and five walks to only two strikeouts. Two of those four hits are a double and a triple. He’s also scored five runs.

Simon Muzziotti

Muzziotti hasn’t gotten many at bats, but he’s made the most of his opportunities, going 3-8 with two RBIs and two runs scored. He’s also been solid in the outfield, going 5-5 on putouts.

Nick Maton

Maton has had a quite impressive Spring. He’s just 4-17 at the plate, but he has a home run, seven RBIs and has walked six times already. He’s played some great defense at shortstop as well, starting four double plays and not committing an error in 46 innings.

Damon Jones

In three innings of work, Jones looked like he did early on last season. He hasn’t allowed a hit and has struck out five batters, compared to only two walks. Jones was sent to minor league camp over the weekend, but could make his major league debut in 2020.

Adonis Medina

In two relief appearances, Medina looked good going 1.2 scoreless innings allowing no hits and one walk. He picked up a save as well. He was optioned to minor league camp over the weekend.

Mauricio Llovera

Llovera has been one of the biggest stars of Spring Training to date. In six innings of work, he’s allowed one run with six strikeouts and three walks. He was optioned to minor league camp Tuesday, but it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him make an impact at the major league level in 2020.

Ramon Rosso

One of last year’s break-out prospects, Rosso has looked solid so far this Spring. In 5.2 innings, he’s allowed two runs, with five strikeouts and two walks.

Bryson Stott

Last year’s first-round pick, Stott did get two at-bats early in the spring, going 0-2. He was quickly reassigned to minor league camp, but it was nice to see him get the experience this early in his development.
