The Phillies opened the 2017 season against the Reds in Cincinnati, where Opening Day calls for a massive celebration in and around the ballpark. The team got in on the party early with a César Hernandez solo home run to lead-off 2017. After a shaky ninth inning from Jeanmar Gomez, the Phillies hung on and won the ballgame 4-3, their first Opening Day victory since 2014.
