While sports have been put on a halt, sports networks have been re-airing classic games to give people at home some form of entertainment.
There will be some classic baseball back on NBC Sports Philadelphia during the first three weeks of June, as the network has announced they will be re-airing the entire Phillies 2008 playoff run:
Games will be aired at 7 p.m. ET on Mondays-Fridays on NBC Sports Philadelphia.
The first re-air begins on Monday, June 1 with Game 1 of the National League Division Series against the Milwaukee Brewers, where Cole Hamels went eight strong innings with nine strikeouts.
In addition to all 14 games of the World Series run, NBC Sports Philadelphia will air two specials along with the replay of the 2008 parade. The two specials are Forever Philly: Cole Hamels and World Champions: The Story of the ‘08 Phillies.
This will be the first time the entire re-air of the Phillies run to their second World Series title will hit the TV screens. Perhaps by the end of this, we’ll be gearing up for the 2020 season.
