Watch: Andrew McCutchen robs Albert Almora of home run

Andrew McCutchen made a pretty cool play in the outfield on Friday. (Cheryl Pursell)

The Mets were inches away from going up 2-0 on the Phillies in the bottom of the second. Albert Almora Jr. crushed a pitch into left field. It looked like it had enough to clear the wall, but Andrew McCutchen timed his jumped perfectly and robbed Almora of a home run.

McCutchen came away shrugging his shoulders. Moore jumped up and down when he saw the ball in McCutchen’s glove. The Mets may have thought that the ball glanced off the wall, but replay review confirmed the call on the field.

The Phillies may not win tonight, tomorrow or the day after that, but catches like these are always fun.
