Bryce Harper, as has become custom, received boos as he walked to the plate in the top of the first inning of Monday’s Philadelphia Phillies game at Nationals Park.
The former Nationals star responded by hitting a two-run home run, part of a three-run first inning for the Phillies:
For Harper — who spent his first seven big league seasons with the Nationals — it was his 100th career home run at Nationals Park.
The 28-year-old also continued to build on his National League MVP case with the home run, which was his 10th in August and 26th overall this season.
