Phillies fans in attendance on Opening Day were treated to Kyle Schwarber’s first home run as a Phillie. Saturday was Nick Castellanos’ turn to get on the board.
After Bryce Harper was hit-by-a-pitch, Castellanos ambushed a first-pitch sinker from former Phillie Cole Irvin and drove it to left-center field. The home run gave the Phillies a 2-0 lead in the first inning.
Castellanos is 97 RBIs away from clinching a second-consecutive 100 RBI-season.
