For the fourth and seemingly final time this season, the Philadelphia Phillies will be on Apple TV+‘s Friday Night Baseball when they open their series against the San Francisco Giants on Sept. 2.
To watch, you’ll simply need to download the Apple TV+ app to your television or the device that you intend to watch the game on. If you already have an Apple ID that you use for your iPhone or Mac computer, you will just need to enter that information to watch Friday Night Baseball. If not, you can create an Apple ID for free.
Stephen Nelson will be the play-by-play announcer for the game, with former Phillie and Giant Hunter Pence joining as one of the game analysts. Like Pence, Katie Nolan will also do color commentary. Heidi Watney will be the dugout reporter.
If you prefer, Scott Franzke and Kevin Stocker will have the radio broadcast on SportsRadio 94 WIP. Oscar Budejen will lead the Spanish broadcast on WTTM 1680.
The game will start at 10:15 p.m. ET, with the Phillies playing at Oracle Park for the first time this season.
Both the Phillies and Giants are in very different places than when they last met on June 1. The Giants took two of three games at Citizens Bank Park earlier this year, with the Phillies salvaging the final game of the series. Two days later, the Phillies fired Joe Girardi and installed Rob Thomson as the interim manager.
As both teams begin their September slates, the Phillies are 73-58 and in control of the second Wild Card spot in the National League. Meanwhile, Gabe Kapler’s Giants are just 13-25 and looking to play spoiler in the final month of the season, a disappointing outcome a year after they won a franchise-record 107 games.
