Phillies vs. Cardinals NLWCS: Start time, TV/radio guide

The Philadelphia Phillies will begin their first playoff series since 2011 this Friday against the St. Louis Cardinals. Here’s everything you need to know before the series gets started.

What Is The Format Of The National League Wild Card Series?

The NLWCS will be a best-of-three series played on three consecutive days at Busch Stadium in St. Louis. The Cardinals are the No. 3 seed in the NL playoffs, while the Phillies are No. 6.

Start Times

  • Game 1 on Friday, Oct. 7: 2:07 p.m. ET
  • Game 2 on Saturday, Oct. 8: 8:37 p.m. ET
  • Game 3 (if necessary) on Sunday, Oct. 9: 8:37 p.m. ET

What TV Channel Will The Phillies-Cardinals NLWCS Be On?

Game 1 of the series will be on ABC, while Games 2 and 3 will be televised on ESPN 2.

Who Will The TV Announcers Be For The Phillies-Cardinals NLWCS?

All MLB playoff games are nationally televised, so Tom McCarthy, John Kruk, Rubén Amaro Jr. and Ben Davis won’t be on the call. Instead, Michael Kay — the television voice of the New York Yankees — will be the play-by-play announcer. 14-time All-Star Álex Rodríguez will be the color commentator. Alden González will be the dugout reporter.

What Radio Station Will The Phillies-Cardinals NLWCS Be On?

Games 1 and 2 of the series will be on SportsRadio 94 WIP. Game 3 is TBA because the Eagles play in Arizona at 4:25 p.m. ET Sunday, which may mean the Phillies broadcast gets pushed to 1210 WPHT. You will be able to hear all three games on the free Audacy app.

Who Will The Radio Announcers Be For The Phillies-Cardinals NLWCS?

Scott Franzke and Larry Andersen will have the call for all three games.
