Things have a way of coming full circle in baseball.
Since joining the Philadelphia Phillies, Bryce Harper has talked about how Jayson Werth used to tell him what the playoffs at Citizens Bank Park were like when the two were teammates on the Washington Nationals.
Prior to Game 5 of the 2022 NLCS, Werth threw out the first pitch in front of a crowd hoping to see the Phillies win the National League pennant Sunday afternoon. On the other end of his pitch was Harper, experiencing a Red October himself for the first time:
