The cancellation of Game 3 of the World Series affects not only those who had tickets to Monday’s game, but anyone who had planned to come to Citizens Bank Park for Game 4 and Game 5.
According to the Phillies, those who had tickets for Monday night’s game, now have tickets for Tuesday night:
That means that those who had tickets for Game 4, initially slated to be played on Tuesday, now have tickets for Wednesday. And if you had tickets to Game 5, initially slated to be played on Wednesday, you now have tickets for Thursday. All games will be played at 8:03 p.m. ET:
As Matt Gelb of The Athletic puts it, you buy tickets in the postseason for a specific game, not a specific day.
At least that’s how the organizations view things. Certainly, there will be some unable to adjust their plans now that the schedule has changed, and/or uninterested in attending Game 5 on Thursday, which will be played essentially at the same time as the Eagles and Texans are on Thursday Night Football.
