The Philadelphia Phillies got an excellent return on their investment in the first year of a four-year/$79 million deal with Kyle Schwarber.
Calum Scott’s bank account is better off for it too.
Scott’s version of “Dancing On My Own” became the anthem of the Phillies’ improbable run to the World Series, after Schwarber brought it with him from Boston. And in a development that’s probably not a coincidence, Scott says that he saw a drastic increase in his streaming data on Spotify in 2022:
For what it’s worth, Scott did release his new album “Bridges” on June 17, 2022, his first album since 2018. However, it was his 2018 album “Only Human” that featured the song in question.
It would be interesting to have a month-by-month breakdown of Scott’s streaming data, because the guess here is that it probably spiked in October.
