Thursday afternoon, the Philadelphia Phillies introduced star shortstop Trea Turner, who they inked to an 11-year/$300 million free-agent deal earlier this week.

Incentives
- Turner will be paid an additional $50,000 for each All-Star Game appearance he makes.
- Turner will be paid an additional $50,000 if he wins either the NLCS MVP or World Series MVP.
- Turner will be paid an additional $50,000 if he wins either a Gold Glove or Silver Slugger Award.
- Turner will be paid an additional $500,000 if he wins NL MVP. If he’s runner up, he’ll earn $50,000. If he finishes third, he’ll earn $25,000.
Other Notes
- Turner’s contract includes a full no-trade clause.
- Turner’s contract does not include any opt outs.
- Because the average annual value of Turner’s contract is $27,272,727, that will be how much he counts towards the luxury tax threshold each season.
